Dr Ronan Connellan


Ronan graduated from University College Dublin in 2009 and completed his internship year in medicine and surgery in the Mater Hospital and Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar. He worked in hospital medicine in Mullingar and Tullamore and for several years as a Registrar in Emergency Medicine in Mullingar and Connolly Hospital before commencing the North Eastern General Practice Training Scheme in 2017.

Ronan has worked in urban and rural GP clinics in Drogheda and Cavan. He undertook rotations in Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Cavan General Hospital and underwent six months training in Psychiatry in Highfield Hospital and in General Medicine in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Ronan completed his General Practice training in 2021 and became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners in July 2021.He has a special interest in Dermatology, Chronic Disease Management and Men’s Health.

Originally from Castleknock his hobbies are reading, sports and running.
