Gina is originally from Clonsilla, and graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2011. She completed her intern year in the Mater Hospital, followed by a year of working and travelling in Australia. She returned to the Mater for Basic Specialist Training in medicine for two years and worked as a senior house officer in various specialties including cardiology, gastroenterology, medicine for the elderly, haematology, nephrology, infectious diseases and emergency medicine, and gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland examinations during this time.

She completed her GP training via the Dublin Mid Leinster GP Training Scheme which included working in psychiatry, paediatrics, emergency medicine, general medicine and palliative care. She completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG) during her GP training and has a particular interest in this area. Having both trained with us and then worked with us in the past, Gina has recently returned from the UK to join Oakwood once again. Gina is married with two children.
